I upgraded to iOS 9 Beta 2. Didn’t back up properly... Lost everything on my phone. Thankfully I have all of my contacts and photos synced through iCloud or else I would have lost them too. I guess it’s a good opportunity to start fresh!!

1. Always back up your electronics before an update.

2. Always wait a couple updates before upgrading to a new iOS so they have enough time to work out some kinks.

I just switched to iOS 8 a couple months ago. Now my battery drains like crazy

The cloud backup is a the greatest thing, even if we saw that is not as secure(The Fappening) and I have no problem paying for Dropbox and OneDrive. Even if somebody hacks them he will get some business contacts(not so good), my girlfriend’s phone(meh), some other phone numbers(not a big problems) and some other useful only for me shit. Oh, also some drunk random photos of mine, saves for video games and university stuff.

Yay, for technology I guess.

1. I connected it to iTunes, and it went through the process of syncing, so I thought it was good.

2. I had the first iOS 9 beta, and I desperately needed to upgrade from that.

Really? iOS 8 battery life was great on my iPhoen 6!

I have a 5S. I used to make it through the day before I felt I needed to charge it. Now I have to charge it by noon.

I like some of the features of iOS 8 but it doesn’t feel radically different from 7 (outside of the diminished battery). I'm 2 OSes behind on my MB air because I like the way it is and don't want to deal with new stuff screwing up.

Does it feel like a change from the trend of slower and laggier with each new OS upgrade?

The last ones I’ve done just seem to make it worse. After 7 I left it without updates for a while, including 8, which I jumped to last week. But I’ve heard they’re making the change for more functional and whatnot
